About the role

  • Lead all aspects of contract manufacturing operations, including quoting, planning, execution, and performance management.
  • Ensure EMS partners meet delivery, cost, and quality targets while supporting product lifecycle requirements.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing roadmaps aligned with company objectives.
  • Select, evaluate, and manage contract manufacturers, including negotiating strategic supply and service agreements.
  • Monitor and report supplier performance (OTD, quality, service levels) and lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
  • Manage sourcing rules, unit pricing, purchase orders, and supplier compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Serve as the primary company representative in contract negotiations and policy development with EMS providers.
  • Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality or supply reliability.
  • Own and maintain pricing roadmaps and contract terms across the EMS supply base.
  • Ensure all contract manufacturers adhere to applicable quality standards (e.g., ISO, RBA, environmental, and regulatory requirements).
  • Partner with quality teams to ensure consistent product performance and manufacturing process compliance.
  • Drive supply chain diversification strategies to mitigate geopolitical and natural disaster risks.
  • Ensure timely, complete, and cost-effective receipt of materials and finished goods from EMS partners.
  • Manage inventory levels, optimize safety stock, and mitigate excess and obsolescence risks.
  • Identify and implement improvements in supplier operations, manufacturing processes, and internal workflows.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction, reduce costs, and improve supply chain agility.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across engineering, planning, procurement, quality, and finance teams.
  • Support resolution of operational issues, production delays, and quality concerns in coordination with internal and external partners.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in contract manufacturing or supplier management, preferably in electronics or high-tech industries.
  • Proven track record managing EMS providers in a global manufacturing environment.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems, sourcing tools, and supplier scorecards.
  • Working knowledge of ISO, RBA, RoHS, and other compliance standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Language (English, Mandarin ++).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Travel 25%.
  • Potential to supervise buyers.
