About the role

  • Manage cost, schedule, and technical performance of external contracts
  • Cultivate customer relationships and intimacy to develop further opportunities within the customer community
  • Develop new business opportunities through long term strategic planning, capture planning, and development of proposals and business plans
  • Lead and direct cross-functional teams to meet program & proposal cost, schedule and technical performance objectives
  • Measure and report program performance
  • Deliver presentations to customers, executive management and other program stakeholders
  • Participate in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditions
  • Establish design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test
  • Create, review and finalization of the program Statement of Work
  • Manage suppliers to meet program objectives
  • Adhere to all internal processes, policies, and applicable industry standards
  • Develop and adhere to master plans and schedules
  • Develop, plan, and schedule proposals in a team environment in response to customer requests
  • Coordinate internal comprehensive reviews of proposal cost and pricing
  • Compile cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with RFP specifications
  • Analyze data such as direct labor hours, past performance, costs of previous procurements, Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and/or comparison to similar items/scope

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years experience; Master’s with 3 years of relevant Program Management experience
  • Must have experience leading and directing cross-functional teams to meet program & proposal cost, schedule and technical performance objectives
  • Program management experience in engineering, finance, logistics, operations, or supply chain/subcontracts management
  • Must possess strong organization and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels of management and individual contributors
  • Ability to travel domestically as required
  • Proven analytical, technical, strategic and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced MS Office Suite and MS Project skills
