About the role
- support the Maritime/Land Sensors and Systems (MLSS) Division as an Operating Unit (OU) Contracts Manager for the Columbia-class Integrated Power Systems OU
- report to the Marine Systems Business Unit Director of Contracts, Pricing, and Government Property
- work closely on a day-to-day basis with the OU Program Managers/Directors, Business Managers, Operations Managers, Engineering Managers, and functional teams throughout the OU
- responsible for all aspects of the OU contracts’ portfolio delivering successful financial performance, risk mitigation, change management, and customer satisfaction
- provide objective-oriented direction utilizing management guidelines, general policies, and maintain a strong level of engagement
- lead a team of 4 - 6 contracts professionals
- conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of industry related experience in contract administration/management – OR – a Master’s degree with 6 years of industry related experience as outlined above
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a formal people leadership role
- Minimum of 3 years of experience planning and executing successful government contract negotiations
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of pricing principles and FAR/DFARS as well as associated Federal Contracting regulations
- US Citizenship is required
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required
