About the role
- Design and implement scalable AWS Data Lake and modern data architecture solutions for large-scale data management and analytics.
- Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS-native tools and modern data engineering frameworks.
- Develop data integration solutions to support FP&A, financial reporting, forecasting, and enterprise decision-making processes.
- Optimize AWS environments for performance, scalability, cost-efficiency, and automation .
- Implement and enforce best practices for data governance, data cataloging, lineage, security, IAM, and compliance across the Data Lake.
- Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and analytics teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions aligned with business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 15+ years in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Cloud Architecture roles.
- Proven experience designing and deploying AWS Data Lake / Lakehouse architectures.
- Strong experience in enterprise-scale data integration and large data processing systems.
- Experience supporting FP&A, analytics, BI, or enterprise reporting environments is a plus.
- Hands-on expertise with AWS services: S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Athena, EMR, Kinesis, Lake Formation , and related tools.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL .
- Deep knowledge of data modeling, schema design, warehousing concepts, and metadata management .
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QuickSight .
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
- AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect , Data Analytics Specialty , or Database Specialty .
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira.
- Experience implementing advanced data security and compliance best practices.
