About the role
- This key role combines local plant management in Bellenberg with coordination of operational activities in Gerstungen and Lüdenscheid to ensure smooth supply chain performance across all sites.
- Lead plant operations in Bellenberg and oversee supply chain activities in Gerstungen and Lüdenscheid with a strong focus on service quality and operational excellence to support our sales growth objectives.
- Ensure occupational safety, compliance, and achievement of operational targets.
- Implement policies and measures for safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
- Achieve targets in accordance with the company scorecard.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Inspire and motivate employees in alignment with Hydro’s values.
- Ensure employee safety and compliance with Hydro and legal requirements.
- Optimize production processes using Lean principles.
- Contribute to strategic business development and participate in international projects.
- Develop business plans and set operational goals aligned with the HBS strategy.
- Define and track action plans to achieve KPIs.
- Analyze, propose, and monitor investment projects.
- Collaborate with other business units as a member of the operational management team.
Requirements
- Engineering degree required.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in plant/production management.
- Experience in extrusion plants is an advantage.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Ability to build and develop teams.
- Problem-solving skills (experience with Lean Manufacturing is a plus).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Focused on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Fluent in German and English; Italian or French is a plus.
