About the role
- Active participation in resolving incidents
- Collaboration with global support teams to address IT infrastructure and application-related issues
- Installation or assistance with the installation of IT infrastructure components, applications, and other site-specific tools
- Monitoring and maintenance of site-specific infrastructure and applications according to standard operating procedures
- Active involvement in site-specific and global IT projects
- Management of user accounts in locally supported applications
- Acting as the on-site representative of the GBS IT experts
- Participation in IT change management processes
- Fault analysis and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure disruptions and application errors; diagnosis and resolution of hardware and software issues
- Maintenance of the site-specific portion of Active Directory
- Compliance with global architecture, security, and operational standards and policies
- Maintenance of site-specific IT documentation within your area of responsibility
- Prioritization of tasks while adhering to GBS IT service level agreements
Requirements
- Completed IT technician qualification is mandatory; IT engineer or comparable qualification is an advantage
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure
- Fluent knowledge of both the local language(s) of the supported sites and English is mandatory
- Strong willingness to learn and motivation for continuous professional development
- ITIL certification (basic knowledge)
- Experience in or understanding of a production/industrial environment
- Experience with basic vendor management processes
