About the role
- On-site technical support, diagnostics and maintenance of Nordson powder coating systems at customer sites, and advising on wear parts and spare parts.
- Electrical troubleshooting: apply solid electrical engineering knowledge to diagnose and resolve faults in industrial control systems.
- Perform regular maintenance and inspections to optimize customer efficiency and productivity and to prevent costly downtime.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of powder coating applications and train customers in best practices.
- Implement system updates, upgrades and modifications to improve equipment performance according to customer requirements.
- Deliver hands-on training so customers can safely operate and maintain Nordson powder coating systems.
- Build and maintain professional customer relationships, with a passion for excellent service and high-quality solutions.
- Advise customers on maintenance, wear parts and spare parts.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams such as Technical Support, Sales and Engineering to optimize mean time to repair (MTTR) and share experience.
Requirements
- Successfully completed vocational training as an electrician, electrical technician, mechatronics technician, or a degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering or mechatronics.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in field service, including commissioning and maintenance of complex production equipment.
- Professional German and English language skills are required.
- Valid car driver's license is mandatory.
- Knowledge in surface coating is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- PLC (SPS) and SAP experience is a plus.
