About the role
- Support the Technical Manager in organizing and overseeing the entire technical department
- Monitor ongoing operation of frozen storage, refrigeration and climate control systems as well as building services
- Provide technical leadership and further development of the site’s technical team in Hamburg
- Plan and carry out maintenance, inspections and repairs
- Perform fault analysis and troubleshooting on modern refrigeration systems
- Contribute to process optimization, improved energy efficiency and increased system availability
- Document tests and maintenance in accordance with statutory requirements
- Prepare shift, on-call and deployment schedules
- Coordinate external service providers and technical projects
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in refrigeration technology, electrical engineering, mechatronics, building services/plant engineering or equivalent
- Ideally further training as a master technician/technician or initial leadership experience
- Practical experience in maintenance of refrigeration systems, building services and conveyor technology
- Structured, solution-oriented working style — also under challenging conditions
- Desire to develop the team technically and to take on responsibility
- Willingness to participate in on-call duty and a hands-on mentality
