About the role
- Support the Technical Director in organizing and managing the entire technical department
- Monitor the day-to-day operation of deep-freeze, refrigeration and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems as well as building services
- Provide technical leadership and professional development for the site’s technical team in Hamburg
- Plan and carry out maintenance, inspections and repairs
- Perform fault analysis and troubleshoot modern refrigeration systems
- Contribute to optimizing processes, energy efficiency and equipment availability
- Document inspections and maintenance in accordance with legal requirements
- Prepare shift, on-call and deployment schedules
- Coordinate external service providers and technical projects
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in refrigeration technology, electrical engineering, mechatronics, building services engineering or a comparable qualification
- Ideally further qualification as a master technician/technician (Meister/Techniker) or initial leadership experience
- Practical experience in the maintenance of refrigeration systems, building services and conveyor/handling equipment
- Structured, solution-oriented working style — even when northern German weather gets stormy
- Motivation to develop a team professionally and take on responsibility
- Willingness to participate in on-call duty and a hands-on mentality
