About the role

  • Monitor vessel movements and ensure transparency of arrival and departure times
  • Detect operational risks early and independently initiate appropriate countermeasures
  • Ensure full port readiness for each arrival, including space/yard planning and operational coordination
  • Organize and optimize storage and staging area concepts for components
  • Coordinate with inspection teams to plan and carry out required quality inspections
  • Ensure component availability for onward transport according to project and delivery schedules
  • Conduct regular coordination meetings with port and logistics partners, including performance and risk analysis

Requirements

  • Several years of professional experience in logistics, port operations, maritime handling, or supply chain management
  • Strong knowledge of handling heavy cargo, breakbulk, or project cargo
  • Ability to effectively coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in operational troubleshooting and escalation management
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English
  • Proficient in handling technical documents such as port layouts and transport plans
  • Structured, meticulous, and self‑driven working style with high quality standards
