About the role

  • Monitor customer network infrastructure using NOC monitoring tools and dashboards
  • Respond to alerts and notifications as they occur
  • Perform basic checks and first line troubleshooting following documented procedures
  • Identify potential service impacting issues and log incidents accurately
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to second or third-line teams in line with processes
  • Create, update, and manage incidents and service requests using the ticketing system
  • Ensure tickets contain clear, accurate notes and are updated in a timely manner
  • Carry out initial diagnostics and basic network testing
  • Gather logs, screenshots, and relevant information to support escalation
  • Act as a first point of contact for customer technical queries and service requests

Requirements

  • Strong interest in networking and security technologies
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to learn, take feedback, and work as part of a team
  • Basic understanding of IP networking concepts
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, or similar
  • Awareness of network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, or similar
  • Exposure to working in NOC environment
  • Introductory knowledge of routing technologies such as OSPF and BGP (desirable)
  • Awareness of MPLS and carrier network concepts (desirable)
  • Exposure to Ethernet services such as E Line or E LAN (desirable)
  • Basic understanding of optical networking technologies including CWDM and DWDM (desirable)
  • Exposure to GPON or XGSPON access networks (desirable)
