About the role

  • System Test Engineer to actively contribute to Test plan development of Layer 0 (DWDN), Layer 1 (OTN, Ethernet) based Long Haul, DCI & Metro optical systems
  • Responsible of L0, L1 protocol-based feature Test executions (ex [not limited to]: FCAPS, NBI Automation, Security
  • Active participation and Contribution of System Development Lifecycle processes, understand System requirement and develop detailed Test plan
  • Active participation on next gen operating systems and qualify platform w.r.t standard software architectures like Microservices, Container, etc
  • Close working with cross-functional team for effective prioritization of Test scenarios (based on customer needs) and enable feature velocity delivery
  • Automation of Test scenarios using standard programming platform and enable multiple execution to harden system feature quality
  • Self-driven professional, capable of owning, and delivering on product qualification

Requirements

  • BE/B.Tech in Elec / CSE or similar field of study
  • 2-4 Years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience in Embedded Optical Network Element System Testing – OTN, Ethernet, GMPLS, DWDM, NBI I/F features [CLI, NETCONF, RESTCONF, gRPC], System Security
  • Strong skills in Test planning, Execution, and issue tracking (via any configuration management systems)
  • Working experience in system control plane & L2/L3 products knowhow is a plus
  • Expertise in Python programming (or any equivalent programming language) for automation development
  • Work experience in NBI I/F’s (CLI, NETCONF, RESTCONF, gRPC) based embedded system features
  • Work experience in testing of Microservices, Container based applications is strongly desired
  • Experience in standard Process tools, Configuration management (like JIRA, Confluence, GIT, etc.)****
