About the role

  • Manage licenses for SaaS software/vendors
  • Own the SaaS lifecycle end-to-end to ensure governance and control
  • Drive SaaS license optimization through usage analysis, re-harvesting, right-sizing, and elimination of redundant tools
  • Manage renewals including contract reviews, true-ups in partnership with Procurement/Legal
  • Maintain an accurate SaaS inventory and application catalog, ensuring entitlement, usage, and cost data quality across systems
  • Define and enforce SaaS SAM processes (access controls, Joiner/Mover/Leaver, compliance checks, audit readiness) and report KPIs to stakeholders
  • Verify data quality in SAM tools/sources and collaborate with License Managers and stakeholders to drive corrective actions
  • Define, prepare, and publish software reports using data from SAM Tools, CMDB, and other sources
  • Provide Software Asset Management support for auditing purposes

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognized university.
  • Strong technical understanding of Software Asset Management and SAM tools like Flexera, ServiceNow ITAM, and ILMT.
  • Proven SAM/SaaS management experience (typically 3–5 years) covering subscriptions, renewals, and SaaS governance in a large environment
  • Strong licensing & contract comprehension for SaaS (entitlements, metrics, user types, tiering, overuse risk, audit clauses)
  • Hands-on with SAM/ITSM tooling (e.g., ServiceNow SAM Pro, FlexeraOne/FNMS, Zylo, Torii, SaaS management platforms) plus Excel/Power BI
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical staff and senior management
  • Analytical capability to translate usage and financial data into actionable insights (optimization opportunities, forecast vs. actual, chargeback/showback inputs)
  • Cross-functional stakeholder management with the ability to influence IT, Security, Finance, and Procurement, and to run structured process improvements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including teamwork and issue facilitation.
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders as a trusted business partner.
  • Proficiency in process definition and improvement, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
