About the role
- This position will be reporting to the Support & Access team.
- Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals
- Resolving internal user problems and ensuring correct operation of computers
- Maintaining parts inventory and logging all service/repair activity
- Performing system set-ups for new hires
- Engage vendor support to resolve hardware issues
- Dispose of hardware when its obsolete
- Purchase employee peripheral devices
- Manage software licenses for licensed installed applications
Requirements
- Associates degree or higher in computer technology or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in a helpdesk technician or related role
- Familiarity with Linux, and Cisco switching concepts
- Proficiency with Windows and Apple products
- Proficiency in computer maintenance, repair, and service
- Experience in hardware installation, troubleshooting, and IT support
- Familiarity with Endpoint Management Software, IT helpdesk software (JIRA), operating systems, and general office software
- Strong communication skills and experience in customer service
- Independent, organized, and structured
