Support Engineer

• This position will be reporting to the Support & Access team.
• Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals
• Resolving internal user problems and ensuring correct operation of computers
• Maintaining parts inventory and logging all service/repair activity
• Performing system set-ups for new hires
• Engage vendor support to resolve hardware issues
• Dispose of hardware when its obsolete
• Purchase employee peripheral devices
• Manage software licenses for licensed installed applications

• Create and maintain robust operating environments for key technologies and applications.
• Maintain virtualized infrastructure both on-premises and in the cloud.
• Plan and execute upgrades to operating systems on deployed servers.
• Deploy and provision new server hardware.
• Be an integral part of many technology phases: Evaluation, procurement, design, configuration, deployment, testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, restoration and recovery.
• Willing to participate in on-call rotation in line with the industry practices.

• Design, develop, test, maintain, and improve distributed software systems that balance high-performance with stability
• Develop automated tests to ensure high quality software
• Provide demonstrations to individuals throughout the organization, actively seeking feedback to refine and improve our work
• Review requirements for completeness and clarity, working closely with stakeholders and customers to bridge the gap between technical constraints and customer needs
• Participate in after-hours support in our on-call rotation. Note that this position is overtime-exempt position
