About the role
- The Foundation Engagement Manager plays a critical role in advancing the mission of NMDP by building and sustaining strong, meaningful relationships with the Board of Directors and other volunteer leaders of the Board of Ambassadors.
- Design and implement strategies that deepen board member and volunteer engagement, nurture board relationships, strengthen philanthropic partnerships, and expand opportunities for leadership involvement.
- Support establishing special committees and volunteer leadership initiatives where opportunities arise.
- Provide executive-level administrative support and coordinate all principal gift ($1M+) engagement and activities for the Executive Director.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the Executive Director, engaging and cultivating principal gift donors.
- Collaborate closely with senior leaders within the foundation, development staff, and board officers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5-7 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, board relations, donor engagement, or related fields.
- Demonstrated success in relationship management and high-level volunteer engagement.
- Commitment to the mission of the NMDP Foundation.
- Strong understanding of board governance and philanthropic best practices.
- Fundraising and stewardship best practices, particularly as they relate to major donors, campaigns, and board-driven philanthropy.
- Cross-functional team and department coordination and project management.
- High profile event and donor engagement execution.
