About the role
- Developing, maintaining, and upgrading the EMS portal.
- Providing support to the client for the continued development, implementation, monitoring and maintenance of the client EMS portal.
- Evaluating information systems to assess their suitability for client's needs and projected outcome.
- Liaising with end users, software vendors, and programmers in order to achieve the projected outcomes.
- Analyzing data processing problems to develop and implement solutions.
- Performing systems management and integration functions, reviewing computer system capabilities, workflow, and schedule limitations.
- Researching unconventional applications for designing and developing new methodologies or modifications.
- Defining and/or analyzing system problems, designing and testing solutions, and implementing requirements.
- Analyzing user needs and developing solutions for the organization or client to optimize operational efficiency.
- Providing support for software applications and project teams.
Requirements
- US Citizen with ability to obtain a public trust.
- Bachelor's Degree in an IT related field.
- 8+ years of experience with Information Technology (IT), with at least three years of experience developing.
- Experience managing risk and implementing information security controls for the client.
- Skilled in incident response, breach detection, and security remediation.
- Knowledge of configuration management for secure systems and networks.
- Familiarity with NIST 800-53, DHS, and federal security compliance standards.
- Experience maintaining secure web portals or Environmental Management Systems (EMS) for the client.
- Ability to conduct audits, reviews, and continuous improvement of the client’s EMS or ISO 14001 programs.
- Strong background in environmental risk assessments and emergency response coordination.
- Proficient in preparing security documentation, reports, and user guides for the client.
