About the role

  • Responsible for operating on-premises Kubernetes clusters via Rancher and ensuring their stability, security, and continuous updates.
  • Optimize metrics infrastructure (e.g., Prometheus / VictoriaMetrics) through targeted tuning, alerting, and retention management.
  • Own central services such as Grafana, Harbor, and HashiCorp Vault and ensure high availability.
  • Manage storage solutions (Ceph and/or Linstor), including capacity planning, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain a KVM-based VM platform, automate provisioning, and ensure high-performance resource allocation.
  • Maintain the logging environment (e.g., OpenSearch) from ingestion to index management and data retention.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams on platform topics and operational functionality.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in infrastructure or platform operations (e.g., as a DevOps / Platform Engineer).
  • Strong knowledge of administration and troubleshooting in production Linux environments.
  • Proficient with Kubernetes, ideally in on-premises environments.
  • Practical experience with monitoring/metrics (Prometheus and/or VictoriaMetrics).
  • Experience with container registries (e.g., Harbor) and common container/Helm workflows.
  • Experience with Vault (or a comparable secrets management solution) — policies, authentication, and secret lifecycle are familiar to you.
  • Knowledge of Ceph and/or Linstor or similar distributed storage solutions.
  • Structured thinker and communicator, with experience using ticketing systems such as Jira.
