About the role

  • Responsible for operating the on-premises Kubernetes clusters via Rancher
  • Optimizing the metrics infrastructure (e.g. Prometheus / VictoriaMetrics)
  • Ownership of central services such as Grafana, Harbor and HashiCorp Vault
  • Management of storage solutions (Ceph and/or Linstor)
  • Further development of the KVM-based VM platform
  • Maintenance of the logging environment (e.g. OpenSearch)
  • Supporting development teams on platform-related topics

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in infrastructure or platform operations (e.g. as a DevOps / Platform Engineer)
  • Deep knowledge of administering and troubleshooting production Linux environments
  • Confident handling of Kubernetes, ideally on-premises
  • Practical experience with monitoring/metrics (Prometheus and/or VictoriaMetrics)
  • Experience with container registries (e.g. Harbor) and common container/Helm workflows
  • Experience with Vault (or a comparable secrets management solution)
  • Knowledge of Ceph and/or Linstor or comparable distributed storage solutions
  • Structured and methodical way of thinking and working
