About the role
- Support the Incident Commander in executing the EP&R plan during incidents.
- Create, support, and execute overall emergency response training plans, including scenario exercises for all levels of incidents.
- Lead the incident management team in executing the plan with various states and operations groups.
- Lead the strategy for After Action Reviews and the corrective action process through completion.
- Create and support the development of the technology strategy for the maintenance, updates, and execution of emergency preparedness and response plans.
- Build and maintain relationship strategies and plans across our footprint.
- Provide emergency preparedness and response information for filing plans with regulatory bodies.
- Manage continuous improvements to emergency plans and processes activated during incidents.
- Track changes and improvements made to the emergency plans.
- Execute the process to identify, track, and update employees assigned to Incident Command System (ICS) roles.
- Ensure record retention of all incident-related documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in developing emergency management programs
- Completion of ICS 100, 200, 300, 400, and NIMS 700 and 800
- Valid driver's license required
- State-level or IAEM Certified Emergency Manager certification required or must be obtained within twelve months of employment
- Certification or ability to obtain certification within twelve months of employment as a trainer for NIMS or ICS training and/or exercise practice is preferred.
- Completion of the FEMA Professional Development Series (must be obtained within one year of employment)
