About the role
- Own end-to-end design for growth initiatives across our ecosystem, including desktop and app experiences.
- Identify and prioritise opportunities across the full user lifecycle using research, analysis, and product intuition.
- Define, design, and iterate on experiments that improve activation, engagement, retention, and long-term value.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Community to shape strategy, define hypotheses, and measure impact.
- Turn complex systems and constraints into intuitive, scalable, and accessible experiences.
- Move comfortably from low-fidelity exploration to high-fidelity, production-ready designs and interactive prototypes (code-based prototyping is a plus).
- Contribute to and evolve our design systems to support consistency, speed, and scale as the product grows.
- Act as a design leader within cross-functional teams by offering thoughtful critique, mentorship, and clear direction.
- Engage directly with the modding community to understand creator and user needs, motivations, and pain points, and turn those insights into product decisions.
Requirements
- Significant experience in product design, UX/UI, or growth-focused design roles, with increasing ownership and scope.
- A strong portfolio that shows user-centered thinking, strategic problem-solving, and measurable product impact.
- Experience designing consumer-facing digital products; familiarity with UGC platforms or creator ecosystems is a strong plus.
- Proven ability to simplify complex workflows and systems into clear, approachable experiences.
- High proficiency with Figma and modern design workflows.
- Experience working closely with engineering and product teams in agile, cross-functional environments.
- A solid understanding of how design decisions affect metrics, performance, and long-term product health.
- Experience designing for both web and desktop.
- Comfortable collaborating with engineers and using prototypes (Framer, Lovable, Cursor, Figma, or code) to communicate and validate ideas.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and will use your initiative to push projects forward.
Benefits
- We work a 4-day week of 32 hours, with no reduction in pay.
- An allowance of £25 each month to spend on video games (anything required for work is bought by the business!).
- Employee Assistance Programme.
- Private BUPA healthcare for you and your family.
- A very flexible training budget.
- Regular social events throughout the year. Participation is optional!
