About the role
- Implement and operate the NexusOne platform across on‑prem, hybrid, and cloud environments.
- Deploy, configure, and manage data services, pipelines, orchestration, governance, and security components.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) for platform provisioning and upgrades.
- Implement integration points between services (e.g., Spark, Trino, Airflow, NiFi, Ranger, DataHub) and underlying storage/compute layers.
- Configure and tune platform components for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Implement platform security controls (IAM, encryption, RBAC, SSO) in alignment with architectural and compliance requirements.
- Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting for platform components using observability tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in data pipelines, platform services, and underlying infrastructure.
- Contribute to and maintain runbooks, operational documentation, and platform configuration standards.
- Provide feedback to product teams on platform behavior, constraints, and improvement opportunities.
- Support client implementation teams by providing technical guidance, best practices, and hands-on assistance during rollouts.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience as a platform engineer, DevOps engineer, site reliability engineer, or data platform engineer.
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating open‑source data platforms (e.g., Hadoop/Spark-based platforms or Kubernetes‑based data stacks).
- Experience running workloads in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and familiarity with hybrid/on‑prem environments.
- Exposure to enterprise security and governance practices; able to implement controls designed by security/architecture teams.
- Comfortable working directly with architects, engineers, and customers to understand requirements and resolve issues.
