Engineering Manager

Engineering Manager, Full-Stack

QA Automation Engineer

• Design, build, and own large-scale test automation frameworks for network devices using both open source and custom test frameworks, covering both physical and container-based topologies.
• Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines that automatically deploy container topologies, execute test plans, and publish test reports and logs.
• Develop and maintain configuration workflows and schemas, integrating with the NOS agnostic configuration services to generate, validate, and apply complex configurations across multi-DUT environments.
• Automate end-to-end network feature and platform testing (L2/L3, BGP/EVPN, QoS, ACLs, platform health).
• Integrate and automate traffic generators (IXIA / IXIA‑c, Spirent, Snappi/OTG) to validate forwarding behavior, convergence, and performance as part of regression and release test suites.
• Establish and enforce automation best practices for test structure, logging, cleanup, reusability, and reliability across multiple engineering teams.
• Collaborate closely with Software and Hardware Engineering teams to design test strategies for new features, platform bring-up, and regression suites; provide early feedback on design from an automation and testability perspective.
• Use well defined metrics to track test execution, quality trends, and contribution impact; define and report automation metrics such as test coverage, CI/CD pipeline efficiency, and automation adoption rates.
• Mentor and guide other engineers in Python development, network test automation, and modern DevOps practices, helping to grow a strong automation culture across Nexthop AI.

Automation Engineer

Procurement

• Lead sourcing strategy and commercial negotiations for mechanical components.
• Own relationships with Tier 1 manufacturers.
• Drive cost competitiveness and negotiate manufacturing agreements.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations for NPI execution.
• Monitor supplier performance and health.
• Support escalation for yield, capacity, and delivery issues.

Sourcing Manager – Mechanicals

• Lead commercial management of global PCB fabricators and PCB material manufacturers across NPI and mass production.
• Drive capital investment decisions to ensure location and scaling of production lines to meet long-term customer requirements and upside potential
• Negotiate and execute Master Purchase Agreements (MPA) Master Service Agreements (MSA), Manufacturing Service Agreements (MSA), MVAs, SOWs, pricing models, payment terms, flexibility terms, warranty, and service-level commitments.
• Develop structured negotiation strategies, including should-cost analysis, cost breakdown models, and scenario trade-offs.
• Partner with Legal to drive contract closure with the right safeguards (quality, delivery, workmanship, liability, termination, IP protection).
• Develop, drive cross-functional alignment, and execute sourcing and supply strategies to deliver company business objectives
• Own supplier selection, business awards, and ongoing commercial governance for supplier partners
• Lead cross-functional teams to assess supplier capabilities, footprint, cost structure, and performance to ensure alignment with product and volume roadmaps
• Develop and implement supplier scorecards, KPI dashboards, and quarterly business reviews
• Drive cost reduction programs through design-for-cost, value engineering, supply chain optimization, and competitive sourcing
• Monitor supplier financial health, capacity, material constraints, labor conditions, and cost drivers
• Partner with Hardware Engineering, Technical Program Management, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality to ensure seamless NPI execution
• Lead commercial readiness for NPI builds, including NRE negotiation, material liability, tooling, capex, and change management
• Provide early cost insights during design
• Drive trade-off decisions balancing cost, quality, performance, and schedule
• Support teammates for any escalations related to assigned suppliers
• Ensure suppliers adhere to agreed upon pricing, quality standards, and operational KPIs.
• Lead structured review processes—weekly operations reviews, QBRs, and executive supplier meetings
• Own cost models, cost reduction roadmaps, quarterly price reviews
• Build and maintain should-cost models for assigned components and suppliers
• Partner with Finance on budgeting, accruals, forecast alignment, and capital planning

Sourcing Manager – PCB

• Source and issue purchase orders for indirect categories (lab equipment, software, corporate IT and services, etc.)
• Partner with internal customers to determine requirements and conduct RFXs
• Select suppliers for the best combination of functionality, quality, cost, and availability
• Escalate to suppliers for order commit dates and delivery times
• Drive cost reduction efforts through strategic sourcing and vendor negotiation
• Maintain accurate part data and order history in PLM and ERP systems (e.g., Arena, NetSuite)
