Mechanical Design Verification Engineer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop detailed test plans to characterize and validate systems or components
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate cost, schedule, and address dependencies
- Partner with external labs to complete scheduled tests
- Capture issues using bug tracking software and report status
- Analyze test results, log bugs and recommend corrective actions
- Review, edit, and release test reports for tested products
- Evaluate technical readiness prior to release to manufacturing
- Learn and improve test cost, consistency, and efficiency
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design validation for telecom or data center product development
- Solid understanding of structural dynamics and environmental testing for networking products
- Strong knowledge of industry and internal standards e.g. ETSI, ASTM, NEBS, HALT, ISO, IEC, etc
- Experience with mechanical and environmental test equipment
- Familiarity with EDVT, HALT, NEBS, & packaging test
- Hands-On Expertise in conducting operational and non-operational dynamic tests
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in a fast-paced environment
- A problem-solving mindset with focus on delivering results
