About the role
- Designing, building, and optimizing scalable, secure cloud platforms
- Driving high-impact initiatives across infrastructure and software engineering teams
- Championing automation, reliability, and operational excellence
- Managing large, cross-functional projects
- Contributing to the definition and execution of long-range departmental goals
Requirements
- Oracle DBA Experience administering Oracle databases (19c)
- Proficient in RMAN backup & recovery, Data Pump, and patching
- Knowledge of ASM, and Data Guard
- Performance tuning using AWR/ASH reports and query optimization
- Experience with PL/SQL scripting
- Hands-on experience with core AWS services: EC2, RDS, Redshift, Document DB, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, etc.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with Terraform
- Understanding of networking concepts: VPC, Subnets, Security Groups, etc.
- Familiarity with RDS snapshots and monitoring and logging using CloudWatch
- Strong command-line skills for Amazon Linux
- Shell scripting for automation (Bash, cron jobs)
- System performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Understanding of file systems, process management, and system logs
- Hands-on experience managing Amazon RDS/Aurora MySQL instances
- Backup/restore strategy implementation and monitoring
- Query optimization, slow query analysis, and parameter tuning
- Experience in managing Document DB clusters
- Monitoring and scaling practices
- Understanding the basics of Redshift database
- Data distribution, sort keys, and compression techniques
- Dynatrace, Bitbucket, Git, CI/CD tools for DB deployment and automation
