About the role

  • Provide support to the Director of Labor Relations and business partners in contract negotiation, contract administration, union avoidance and positive employee relations.
  • Optimize working relationships between labor unions and the company.
  • Actively participate in collective bargaining agreement negotiations.
  • Interface with senior company leadership to develop negotiations priorities.
  • Develop and execute labor relations strategies that advance company business priorities.
  • Lead grievance hearings and provide preparation during arbitrations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to managers regarding HR practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Stay current on federal, state and local regulations on labor issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in human resources, labor relations or related field of study or equivalent education and experience.
  • Master’s Degree
  • Minimum of 7 years of labor and employee relations experience in roles of increasing responsibility.
  • Experience working in a collective bargaining environment.
  • Labor Relations Professional certification SPHR or PHR (Professional Human Resources) certification.
  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience.
  • 10+ years
  • 5+ years.
