About the role
- Actively participate in MISO generator interconnection process
- Oversee the full life cycle of development and construction of projects
- Manage NextEra’s MISO generator interconnections
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for seamless interconnections
- Develop strategies to optimize the generator interconnection process
- Monitor industry trends for strategic planning
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years experience
- 1+ years management experience
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred)
- Strong power systems background
- Thorough understanding of transmission planning and NERC reliability standards
- Experience with PSS/E, PSLF, PowerGEM TARA, TSAT, and ASPEN
- Ability to coordinate with multiple internal and external SMEs
- Strong understanding of planning processes within RTOs/ISOs
- Ability to communicate complex technical information succinctly
