About the role
- Analyze business and technical requirements related to payment systems and translate them into functional specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Product, Operations) to ensure alignment and successful delivery of payment solutions
- Support the design and implementation of APIs and integration flows with banking and merchant systems
- Monitor and troubleshoot payment processes, identifying areas for improvement and automation
- Participate in testing phases, validating system behavior and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Document technical processes and maintain updated knowledge bases for internal use
- Contribute to innovation initiatives, exploring emerging technologies in the PayTech space
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical analysis or IT consulting, preferably in the financial or payments sector
- Strong understanding of payment systems, transaction flows, and related technologies (e.g., ISO 20022, SEPA, PSD2)
- Experience with API design and integration (REST/SOAP)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) (bonus)
- Knowledge of SQL and data analysis tools (bonus)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) (bonus)
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles in payment systems (bonus)
- Fluency in English and Italian (bonus)
