About the role
- Serve as a dedicated, centralized resource for the Creative/Content (C/C) team, tying multifaceted projects together and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop, in conjunction with the project owner and key stakeholders, the definition of each project (onboarding, purpose, scope, timing, stakeholders’ roles, communication plan).
- Run point on multiple projects simultaneously, managing communications, scope, timeline and budget.
- Manage C/C team content output and distribution.
- Work closely with the rest of the Project Management team to ensure that the C/C team is effectively supporting the needs of the organization.
- Assist with prioritizing and greenlighting projects based on importance and bandwidth.
- Continuously update, monitor and facilitate workflow for the C/C team, ensuring that the C/C team has the resources they need to execute the work.
- Manage and update master task calendar for C/C department for an always-on topical view of workload and bandwidth.
- Work closely with in-house producer to track team budgets and contracts and deliverables from external partners and freelancers.
- Manage the work of third parties/consultants/contractors (as necessary).
- Foster open communication across the C/C team through regular updates and meetings, ensuring a collaborative, motivated and high-performing work environment.
- Develop processes to regularly share and merchandise C/C work with the larger organization.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Project Management, preferably with exposure to marketing, creative and/or publishing industries.
- A thorough understanding of the project lifecycle in an agency or in-house environment with emphasis on digital and print media execution, video creation and website development.
- Strong experience using a range of project management tools (Smartsheet, Basecamp, etc.).
- Great interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, good energy and the ability to motivate others and resolve conflicts in a collaborative and fast-paced environment are a must.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, prioritization, decision making and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficient and highly comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to focus under pressure.
