Clerk

• Supports the operating departments of New York City Tourism + Conventions by providing mailroom, delivery and administrative services in the most efficient, cost-effective means possible.
• Prepares and packages internal deliveries, mail handling and inventory in the most efficient, cost-effective manner possible.
• Responsible for the maintenance of the mailroom and office equipment and initiates improvements when possible.
• Mail and supply orders/deliveries.
• Technical expert of all mailroom processing (postage machine, FedEx / UPS terminal, sorter, folder, scorer, cutter etc.) and printing (HP and Cannon printers and copiers and plate maker).
• Coordinates mailroom projects: monthly mailing, business card exchange, any last-minute project, processing bulk shipping and mailings, generation of labels/envelopes, folding, stuffing and mailing in a timely manner.
• Train and troubleshoot equipment to meet business needs to provide staff with pickup and delivery of boxes/packages as needed.
• Oversee the operation of the office soda machine.
• Ensure a clean, orderly, safe and secure environment within the mailroom.
• Oversee the organization and orderly maintenance of all storage and staging areas.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and make simple repairs.
• Perform minor office maintenance and moving of office furniture, as required.
• Operate and ensure proper maintenance of the Company vehicle, required to make deliveries and pick-up items at banks or other locations throughout the city.
