About the role
- Oversee HR strategy and operations for a fully remote organization
- Manage payroll, employee benefits, personnel policies, legal compliance
- Ensure positive and supportive culture and experience for all employees
- Serve as the core of New Classrooms HR
- Design and execute on a vision for HR policies and processes
Requirements
- 8 years' experience in human resource administration with a mid- to large-size organization
- SHRM or HRCI certification a plus
- At least 2 years of experience actively managing payroll
- Experience with Paylocity a plus
- Knowledge of employment law statutes and other government regulations, including FLSA, COBRA, ERISA
- Experience with leave management (workers comp, FMLA, disability)
- Superior customer service skills
- Ability to champion the employee experience
- Ability to be self directed as well as work closely with multiple teams
- Excellent judgment in resolving complex or difficult matters
- Collaborative, team player with demonstrated ability to build positive internal and external relationships
