About the role
- Lead structural engineering efforts for multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to customers.
- Design tracker foundations using software such as L-Pile.
- Review geotechnical reports to determine soil-structure design parameters for foundation design.
- Review geotechnical reports and communicate to the customer any challenges or recommendations for foundation design.
- Coordinate and manage project construction drawings deliverables with EOR.
- Attend project meetings with Sales and customers to answer questions and provide updates.
- Provide construction administration support for ongoing projects, including RFIs and submittals.
- Collaborate with other project engineers at Nevados in the project design process.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or structural engineering.
- Minimum 5 years designing foundations, preferably driven steel piles.
- Strong knowledge of ASCE 7 and AISC.
- Experience in structural analysis and design, including dead, live, snow, wind, and seismic loads, design of steel structures, and development of construction documents.
- Ability to understand geotechnical principles (soil layers, L-Pile parameters, frost heave).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and L-Pile.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent project management skills, including task prioritization, and resource management.
- Geotechnical engineering experience is a plus.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in any State.
