Design, implement, and validate motor control for tracker actuation, including torque/speed/position loops and fault handling.
Develop, review, and iterate power electronics and lowpower designs for outdoor, ruggedized environments.
Specify, integrate, and validate battery systems and BMS.
Work with firmware team to embedded diagnostics and telemetry to enable remote monitoring, root-cause analysis, and predictive maintenance.
Analyze fleet telemetry to quantify performance, identify anomalies, and drive corrective actions.
Collaborate on tracker control algorithms and system safety interlocks.
Define test plans; execute HIL/SIL, bench and field validation; perform FMEA; close the loop with firmware/hardware changes.
Work across teams to ship robust designs and scalable updates.
Author specifications, schematics, test reports, design reviews, and field investigation summaries.

Requirements

BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related field
5+ years of hands-on relevant experience
Strong control theory, sensor fusion, and safety/fault management
Data analysis experience with time-series telemetry (SQL or equivalent; Python/JavaScript; dashboards;)
Outdoor/Industrial products: ingress protection, thermal design, lightning/ESD, surge protection, reliability testing
Familiar with industrial comms and protocols (CAN, RS485/Modbus)
Proven field support and root-cause analysis skills, including structured problem solving and clear documentation.
