About the role
- Manual verification, tagging, and maintenance of structured datasets on Inc42’s Datalabs platform.
- Research and fill gaps in startup profiles using credible primary and secondary sources.
- Continuously monitor and update outdated records to ensure dataset freshness.
- Cross-verify company, funding, and financial data with MCA filings, stock exchange disclosures, investor presentations, and media sources.
- Conduct regular audits to detect anomalies, inconsistencies, or missing fields.
- Design and refine validation processes and data quality frameworks and playbooks.
- Perform manual checks and corrections on flagged records in automated pipelines.
- Review and validate sector tagging for companies to ensure alignment with sector taxonomy.
- Collaborate closely with research and product teams to support downstream analytics and editorial use cases.
Requirements
- 0-1 years of experience in research, data or analyst roles preferred.
- Strong command of Google Sheets (formulas, filters, lookups, etc.)
- Comfortable handling large datasets.
- Excellent attention to detail, logical thinking, and problem-solving mindset.
- Strong interpersonal, time management, and communication skills.
- Engineering background preferred.
