About the role
- Configure, test, implement, and maintain server environments, enterprise applications, and endpoint management solutions
- Provide system and application administration support for administrators and users
- Configure and implement servers, virtualization platforms, and storage architecture designs
- Evaluate and resolve issues across systems, servers, virtualization, storage, and processing environments
- Utilize diagnostic tools to monitor and improve system performance
- Assist in designing, planning, and installing new systems, servers, virtualization, and storage solutions
- Collaborate with Information Assurance engineers and Cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with DoD RMF requirements
- Support disaster recovery and COOP systems and operations
- Maintain baseline system security, mitigate cyber threats, and apply IT security principles (e.g., firewalls, DMZs, encryption)
- Prepare and deliver milestone status reports, documentation, and presentations to leadership and stakeholders
- Provide after-hours support as part of on-call rotation for downtime or critical issues
- Support system implementation, upgrades, inventory management, and documentation review
- Participate in day-to-day IT operations, including patch management and performance monitoring
Requirements
- Ability to meet required government clearances: Tier 3 (T3) Investigation; candidates must maintain a Secret Clearance
- Six (6) years of progressive experience demonstrating proficiency with server operations, blade architectures, virtualization, Active Directory, Group Policy, application support, and storage solutions
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalency
- IAT II certification (examples: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
- CE: Professional (or expert) level certificate for supported technology as approved by the COR
- Microsoft MSCE-level certification preferred or equivalent experience
- Experience deploying and hardening Windows Server 2016/2019; working with AD, SCOM, MECM, IIS, SQL, DSUW, Remedy ITSM, M3, Exchange, Linux, Unix, and patch management
- Experience with disaster recovery, COOP systems, and IT security principles (firewalls, DMZs, encryption)
- Ability to provide after-hours on-call support for downtime or critical issues
- Strong time management and documentation skills
- Previous Federal Consulting Experience preferred
