About the role
- Drive the evolution of discovery and engagement experiences for Podcasts and other emerging content types as Netflix's offering grows.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to set the vision and conceive of discovery experiences, features and capabilities that delight members.
- Define and convert those concepts into well-scoped project roadmaps, prioritize among competing efforts, and ensure execution at a high level.
- Partner across the PM community to ensure the vision and strategy for podcasts fit seamlessly into the bigger picture.
- Serve as the "connective tissue" that ensures product surface evolves in lockstep with content strategy.
- Define product strategy, audience needs, roadmap, and experimentation approach for diverse content types.
- Foster a collaborative approach when translating Podcast & New Content Exploration goals into product strategy.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience developing consumer products and features
- Experience working on podcast streaming products at scale, and a great understanding of the podcast lifecycle
- Ability to function as the E2E owner of the product development life cycle from inception through planning to launch
- Demonstrated leadership of a space, working effectively across organizations to drive alignment
- Experience with A/B testing, and strong business acumen with proficiency in identifying, tracking and acting upon metrics, designing tests, and collaborating with data science partners
- Very high attention to detail, with an ability to connect the smallest experience elements to the big picture goals at the company and team level
- Excellent data-informed judgment, and ability to leverage data in service of telling the right story, not the other way around
- Great balance of being collaborative and open to alternative views while being decisive and clearly communicating vision
