About the role
- Administer and maintain Active Directory across global domains, ensuring stability, security, and high availability.
- Manage and support Group Policy Objects (GPOs), OU structure, permissions, inheritance, and policy troubleshooting.
- Oversee domain replication health, diagnostics, and optimization.
- Perform Domain Controller upgrades, patching, lifecycle management, and role transitions.
- Administer WSUS for update deployment, patch compliance, and troubleshooting.
- Respond to and resolve tickets involving authentication, access control, GPO, replication, and server issues.
- Use PowerShell to automate administrative tasks, improve efficiency, and support repeatable workflows.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams in RTP, Wichita, San Jose, and Bangalore to support global systems and projects.
- Document procedures, configurations, troubleshooting steps, and operational best practices.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Windows System or Domain Administrator in a midsize or enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory administration.
- Group Policy design and troubleshooting.
- WSUS configuration and patch management.
- Organizational Units (OUs) and domain structure.
- Domain replication tools and methodologies.
- Domain Controller upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle tasks.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Experience working in a ticket-based support model.
- Ability to work with global teams across time zones.
