About the role
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams across the product lifecycle to build your expert-level understanding of one or more NetApp products and solutions, their place in the NetApp portfolio, how they integrate and most importantly how they solve customer challenges
- Own end-to-end assigned technology/product area(s) on one or more specific technical topics; integrate technical narrative into overall product and solutions narrative, create claims and proof of value, and the competitive story
- Act as a technical subject matter expert; evangelize NetApp and assigned technologies at executive briefings, webinars and virtual events, conferences and on social media with clear, compelling technical storytelling
- Create technical competitive collaterals (Why NetApp Storage - presentations/videos/blogs/solution briefs, etc)
- Conduct periodic training and information delivery sessions to increase the mindshare in field, partners & customers
- Identify what’s working/not working from a sales perspective and make course corrections in technical messaging
- Identify & target strategic partner/customer segments to increase the product/feature adoption
- Support product launch activities and assist with Tradeshows, Conferences and Technical Sales Training or Partner Training activities
- Respond to customer or field inquiries, assist with Technical RFPs and work with a cross-functional team of PMs, Sales, Engineers as required
- Influence product roadmap and development priorities with “outside-in” sales, partner and customer perspectives
- Stay current with trends and competitors to identify improvements or recommend product enhancements
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required
- 10 to 15 years of Industry experience is preferred working in enterprise software and IT infrastructure or technical solutioning
- A Bachelor of Science/computer or advanced degree in electrical engineering, or computer science or related technical discipline; or equivalent experience is required
- Strong experience in architecture, deployment and onboarding of observability & manageability tools in hyper scalars & on-prem (secure zone) environments
- Hands-on experience in Observability, Monitoring, Alerting, Notifications, Audit Logs & Reporting tools for fleet management of storage environments at enterprise scale
- Hands-on experience in deploying applications in public cloud and in private cloud
- Strong knowledge of virtualization (K8s, OpenShift, VMware, etc), networking & OS
- Knowledge of IAM, product security & security protocols for SaaS and enterprise applications
- Hands-on experience in deploying and managing enterprise-scale SaaS application in cloud or on-prem to manage storage infrastructure
- Technical proficiency in AI frameworks like LLM, MCP, Agentic, responsible AI, etc is desirable
- Strong content creation skills across written and video formats: presentations, technical reports, solution briefs, whitepapers, blogs, videos, talk tracks, battlecards, and demo scripts
- Comfortable presenting in tech-events, on-camera presenter; capable of engaging technical and executive audiences across conferences, webinars, and social media
