About the role
- Define, communicate, and rapidly execute the technical direction for nesto’s dedicated AI stream, making bold, data-informed decisions;
- Relentlessly drive the strategy and rapid development of our AI orchestration product, and the broader AI platform, from MVP to large-scale adoption;
- Manage, mentor, and grow a lean, high-impact group of engineering leads and individual contributors within the AI pods, setting a high bar for speed and quality;
- Collaborate closely with product and business leaders to rapidly align technical solutions with company goals and ship impactful outcomes;
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, aggressive experimentation, and rapid iteration within the engineering organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of proven experience in engineering leadership, including leading people and other managers in high-growth startup or scale-up environments;
- Proven track record of rapidly building, launching, and scaling large-scale SaaS products in competitive markets;
- Deep expertise in applied AI and machine learning implementations at scale, with a history of shipping AI-powered features to production;
- Strong technical leadership with the ability to simplify complex architectural challenges and make high-stakes decisions quickly with incomplete information;
- Experience rapidly scaling teams and establishing pragmatic engineering best practices in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment.
