About the role
- Collaborate daily with internal teams and external partners to monitor compliance
- Coordinate with shippers, customs brokers, and freight forwarders
- Assign tariff codes to all imported products using HTSUS
- Conduct internal research and partner with suppliers
- Request and obtain necessary government certificates from suppliers
- Participate in quarterly compliance reviews
- Champion process improvement mindset
- Provide customs brokers with instructions for customs clearance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Broker's license a plus
- Preferred 2-4 years customs and international trade compliance experience
- Proven experience in relationship building
- Good verbal and written communications required
- Ability to thrive in a team environment required
- Ability to think critically to solve problems and work autonomously required
