About the role

  • Support & advise the Market Management team in all aspects of Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)
  • Implement Market-level initiatives and drive site initiatives for SHE performance improvement
  • Direct and co-ordinate the development and implementation of the Market's SHE strategy & program
  • Recommend Market SHE objectives considering Market and Corporate objectives
  • Monitor and communicate performance regarding SHE to integrate into business decisions
  • Ensure adherence to SHE principles, policies and legal requirements
  • Develop and sustain a local network including authorities and other factories
  • Manage NIMS jointly with Quality
  • Implement and maintain Market SHE Management systems, achieving ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 certification
  • Provide coaching & support to Plant management teams
  • Ensure SHE performance data is available and accurately managed
  • Promote awareness of SHE
  • Champion the Plant's SHE risks assessment program

Requirements

  • BTech in Safety, Environmental Management or Engineering
  • 5 years or more experience in Industrial SHE Management
  • Previous professional experience across safety, health and/or environmental areas
  • Successfully demonstrated ability to manage change
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results through others
  • In-depth understanding of legislative requirements
  • Proven track record of successful changing an operation to a safe environment
