About the role
- Manage strategic planning and daily operation of the factory QA department
- Coach, develop, and mentor the QA team
- Lead the internal and external factory audit programs to verify adherence to certification standards, regulatory requirements, product and process specifications
- Review, maintain, and enhance factory QA resources to support personnel training and competency development, food safety, and quality management systems
- Adhere to ISO requirements and continually monitor external standards to inform internal strategy
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistent application of quality standards
- Manage Pest Control Program by monitoring and application of all chemicals, insecticides, rodenticides, fungicides and all fumigants
- Drive the quality pillar in support of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) for the factory
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology or related scientific discipline
- 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience in manufacturing, production, military or related environment
- 2+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing, production, military or related environment
- Other Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred
