About the role
- Collaborate daily with internal teams and external partners to monitor compliance
- Coordinate with shippers and customs brokers for documentation submission
- Assign tariff codes and FDA Product Codes for imports
- Conduct internal research to ensure accurate coding
- Obtain necessary government certificates from suppliers
- Participate in compliance reviews and audits
- Provide customs brokers with clearance instructions
- Stay current on trade compliance best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Broker's license a plus
- Preferred 2-4 years customs and international trade compliance experience
- Working experience with assigning Harmonized Tariff Codes
- Proven experience in relationship building and financial and operational oversight skills
- Good verbal and written communications required
- Strong ability to think critically and solve problems
- Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a team environment
