About the role

  • Maintain the basic condition of the machines within your line and perform improvement activities, as well as repairing breakdowns.
  • Drive a safe culture and eliminate safety risks within the workplace.
  • Ensure that all products are manufactured according to quality standards.
  • Drive continuous excellence and improvements in key operational business processes throughout manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with the Autonomous Working Groups (AWG-production teams) to drive improvements using tools such as inspections, abnormalities identification, centerlining, breakdown analysis, and preventive and predictive maintenance.

Requirements

  • Educated to apprenticeship level NVQ 3 or hold a recognised engineering qualification in both mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and the ability to implement enhancements in processes.
  • Knowledge of planned preventative asset maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis tools and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing tools, including Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
  • Proven mechanical comprehension and awareness of food safety and food handling standards.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to strict hygiene rules and safety compliance standards.
