About the role

  • Partner closely with customers to build long-term strategies that fuel sustainable growth.
  • Champion both Metcash and Pure Play eCommerce, ensuring the right portfolio, execution, and plans are in place to win.
  • Lead and coach a team of three Customer Business Managers (two Metcash, one Pure Play) and one Account Executive.
  • Develop long-term strategic business plans for the Metcash and eCommerce channels, including JBP development and execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and external stakeholders to drive excellence and deliver against commercial objectives.
  • Optimise category strategies across both channels, ensuring the right levers and touchpoints are activated to unlock growth.
  • Serve as the internal Subject Matter Expert for your channels, sharing insights, trends, and best practices across the Purina organisation.
  • Lead key retailer projects to ensure flawless execution and breakthrough results.

Requirements

  • A proactive, can do attitude and strong collaboration skills.
  • Proven experience in Category and/or Account Management within FMCG.
  • A strong track record of driving sales growth and delivering commercial results.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and turn insights into action.
  • Understanding of independent retailing, eCommerce dynamics, merchandising, and content optimisation.
  • Deep knowledge of category management principles and how to activate initiatives that unlock mutual value.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated project management capability to lead initiatives end to end.
  • Full Australian working rights are required.
