About the role

  • Support the development and optimization of core platform infrastructure, including cloud resources, networking components, and storage solutions.
  • Contribute to automating routine tasks using scripting languages to enhance system administration efficiency and reliability.
  • Assist in monitoring platform performance, diagnosing issues, and troubleshooting incidents to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Aid in implementing security best practices for cloud infrastructure, including patch management, access controls, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation on configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps to support platform management.
  • Join in on projects with engineers and architects to gain insight into real-world DevOps practices, application deployments, scaling, and day-to-day maintenance.
  • Engage in problem-solving and root-cause analysis, contributing to the continuous improvement of platform reliability and performance.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and an interest in system administration.
  • Familiarity with one or more cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Some experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and an eagerness to learn automation practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Passion for cloud technologies and a desire to grow in a dynamic engineering environment.
  • Previous internship, coursework, or project experience in platform engineering, system administration, or DevOps is preferred.
  • Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible is a plus.
