About the role
- Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions in Go, Kotlin, and TypeScript/React
- Collaborate closely with designers and product managers to craft simple and intuitive products
- Utilise test-centric design to ensure highly testable and tested code
- Review code and actively participate in maintaining a strong engineering culture
- Design technical solutions and architectures jointly with product and engineering teams
- Research new technology choices and present pros/cons to the engineering team
- Work on cloud services (Go, Docker), Android applications (Kotlin), web front-ends (TypeScript/React), and CI/CD/DevOps improvements
- Be part of a small, dynamic R&D team in Cambridge and contribute across the product range
Requirements
- Achieved excellent academic results from a leading university or demonstrate outstanding technical skills
- Proficient in English
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn Go, Kotlin, and TypeScript/React
- Experience with C, C++, Java, or Python considered
- Comfortable working autonomously and as a team player
- Strong problem-solving skills and holistic thinking
- Willingness to research new technologies and present pros/cons to the engineering team
- Appreciation for test-centric design and writing testable, tested code
