About the role
- Monitor data collection and ensure its accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop and adapt monitoring tools according to the implementation plan.
- Conduct regular field visits and facilitate focus group discussions with beneficiaries.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of collected and stored data.
- Support the definition of indicators, baselines and targets.
- Develop and regularly update Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) plans.
- Process, analyze and visualize data using digital tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
- Contribute to the production, standardization and quality assurance of MEL reports.
- Facilitate periodic learning sessions with project teams.
- Document learning and adaptation processes.
- Operationalize all MEL procedures and tools for the Near East Foundation (NEF).
- Maintain and oversee feedback, complaints and response mechanisms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, humanities, quantitative/qualitative research methods or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in data collection, preferably with a national or international NGO or other civil society organization.
- Fluent in French, Arabic, Tamazight and English, both written and spoken.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
- Experience using digital data collection applications (e.g., KoboCollect, AKVO) is an asset.
- Effective team player, able to communicate and build and maintain productive working relationships within a dynamic team.
