About the role

  • Windows Integration Engineer work as a part of the integration team to design, develop and implement deployment tools to distribute NCR solutions to Retail clients around the world. Your role will be to help NCR development, architects and testing teams with a deployment of NCR and 3rd party software solutions. Creating reliable and consistent solutions for a large-scale deployment is a key part for a company success. A customer-facing business development role, ultimately responsible for the successful delivery of architectural and technical aspects of client transformation engagements. This role is one of the most important technical roles within NCR Professional Services and requires a combination of qualities that will enable a successful candidate to help NCR to continue lead state of the art solutions for Retail and Finance industries. In this exciting role, you will… Installs equipment within all areas of retailer facilities including testing labs Implement audit, logging, and monitoring solutions of integration systems. Performs quality assurance checks on all NCR equipment prior and after deployment Identifies and troubleshoots hardware and software issues Deploys NCR software based on project scope Demonstrates consistent deployment quality, following company guides and updating project documentation appropriately Displays excellent project and time management skills, efficiently managing task queue Completes and updates required documentation and adopts new NCR processes as needed Consistently displays commitment to team and clients, being an example to others regarding punctuality, client appointments and deployment deadlines Sets a good example by maintaining composure even in stressful situations Maintains a positive and friendly attitude toward all team members Displays empathy and sense of urgency when communicating with clients, ensuring client satisfaction and safety Proactively makes suggestions for solutions to most recurring deployment issues and technology service issues Embraces improvements and advocates change, going beyond status quo

Requirements

  • US Citizen Ability to pass Public Trust background check. Must have working knowledge of scripting languages such as Power Shell and VBScript or software development experience (C# .Net). Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SCCM/IBM BigFix Must have strong analytical ability and problem-solving acumen Expertise in Windows deployment, installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning Knowledge of Windows imaging technologies WinPE, WIM imaging, or similar Understanding of internet standards such as HTTPS, DHCP, DNS, SFTP, HTML, XML, JSON and other protocols and IP communications Exposure to IBM BigFix for deployment and monitoring is a strong plus Ability to work independently with little supervision Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Strong problem solving & analysis skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Application development/engineering experience is a plus Mass deployment Tolls: SCCM, BigFix Database administration (SQL Server, MySql, SQL Express) setup, configuration and basic database troubleshooting skills Experience in capacity planning, system monitoring, and system security and hardening, including DoD STIG Experience in the Retail Industry supporting Retail customers is highly preferred Experience in scripting or programming languages as may be used in automation and deployment (VBScript, JavaScript, Python, etc)
