• Lead daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation activities across assigned bank, GL, suspense, clearing, digital, card, mobile money and Nostro accounts
• Ensure reconciliations are completed, reviewed, evidenced and attested within agreed service-level timelines
• Oversee investigation, ageing, escalation and clearance of reconciling items, exceptions and long-outstanding balances
• Perform quality assurance checks for completeness, accuracy, segregation of duties and adherence to reconciliation standards
• Maintain documentation, evidence and audit trails for reconciliations and exception resolutions
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, risk frameworks, internal policies and reconciliation procedures
• Prepare reconciliation dashboards and exception reports for management
• Identify process gaps and control weaknesses and recommend sustainable improvements
• Support internal and external audits
• Engage branches, Head Office units, Treasury, Finance, Operations, Technology and other stakeholders to resolve discrepancies
• Escalate high-value, unusual, aged or high-risk reconciling items
• Lead, coach and develop reconciliation staff
• Allocate workloads, manage leave plans and maintain continuity
• Promote automation, standardization and simplification of reconciliation processes

Reconciliation Manager

Analyst

• Review, evaluate, and approve or decline credit applications within delegated lending authority limits
• Critically assess credit proposals submitted by Credit Analysts for accuracy, completeness, financial analysis, risk evaluation, and policy compliance
• Identify risks, mitigating factors, and conditions precedent to approval
• Escalate applications exceeding delegated authority and return or decline deficient applications with rationale and feedback
• Monitor portfolio concentration risks, industry exposures, and emerging portfolio trends
• Enforce controls against fraud, misrepresentation, and policy breaches
• Validate customer verification, employer confirmations, due diligence, and restricted-customer controls
• Participate in Credit Committees and approval forums
• Guide, coach, and challenge Credit Analysts on complex and high-risk applications
• Support enhancement of credit assessment methodologies, tools, and processes
• Review structured lending and secured credit proposals
• Determine facility structures, repayment terms, pricing recommendations, and risk mitigation requirements
• Ensure collateral and security arrangements are adequate and enforceable
• Define and approve collateral, legal, insurance, valuation, and security-related conditions
• Ensure conditions precedent are fulfilled before disbursement
• Collaborate with Legal, Treasury, Security Management, Branch Network, and Business Units
• Monitor approved facilities, emerging portfolio risks, remediation initiatives, and early-warning strategies
• Contribute to credit policy, risk appetite, governance, and control improvements
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulations, and industry standards
• Support audits, close audit findings, and maintain comprehensive approval records
